On February 24, 2017, PPI President Director Agus Andiyani attended the first launch event of KPR BTN Mikro and signed the MoU between Bank BTN - PPI - APMISO at Wisma Perdamaian, Semarang.

The event was also attended by Minister of Public Works and People's Housing, Basuki Hadimuljono, as well as other productive activities, including the implementation of inclusive financial policies and festivals of noodles and meatballs, as well as other merchandise for business actors / small businesses and medium or other community, making it a good synergy package. Today, February 17, 2017, PPI with PT Cipta Prima Asia Sukses signed a Memorandum of Understanding of Supply of Sembako Products, Horticulture, and Final Consumption at PPI Head Office.

 

The purpose and objective of this Memorandum of Understanding is to stipulate an agreement between the parties to achieve cooperation in the marketing of horticultural products, staple products, final consumption products, and PPI households as well as distribution of PPI-owned products for market share throughout Indonesia in order to maintain stability prices, especially food commodities and other forms of cooperation that will be agreed upon by the parties.

 

The scope of this Memorandum of Understanding includes:

  • The parties maintain the stabilization of commodity prices, especially in relation to market prices;
  • The parties undertake business development in traditional markets and the like;
  • Maintain stock of goods for internal and external needs under the auspices of the cooperation of the parties;
  • Arranging the distribution management between PPI and PT Cipta Prima Asia Sukses as well as distribution in the internal market area specified in this MoU;
  • PT Cipta Prima Asia Sukses provides sales outlets (kiosks) in each market as a means and stock point warehouse that will be used for retail and wholesale sales activities to every market trader;
  • The Parties shall provide workers according to their competence in each market outlet provided by PT Cipta Prima Asia Sukses;;
  • Outlets that are the agreement in this Memorandum of Understanding are:

a.Ciawi Market Bogor Regency

b.Cibinong Market Bogor Regency

c.Citeureup Market Bogor Regency

Today, on 17 February 2016, PT Perusahaan Perdagangan Indonesia (Persero) together with Sharia Cooperative Bagimu Negeri Nusantara, implemented a Memorandum of Understanding on Procurement and Marketing of Basic Products, at the PPI Head Office.

The fulfillment of procurement of cooperative needs located in Kencong Village, Kepung Subdistrict, Kediri, East Java, consists of staple products, final consumption products & households and horticulture products by PPI.

The marketing of PPI's staple products includes staple products, end-product & household products and horticultural products using voucher system distributed to each village by Sharia Cooperative Bagimu Negeri Nusantara in Kediri, Trenggalek and Kabutapen Jombang districts.

PPI and Sharia Cooperative Bagimu Negeri Nusantara agree that further technical implementation of this cooperation will be set forth in the Cooperation Agreement.

PT Perusahaan Perdagangan Indonesia (Persero) (PPI) in 2016 was awarded as Best BUMN 2016 based on December 2015 financial report, for the category of Non-Financial Sector of Services, Trade and Tourism by Investor Magazine based in Jakarta.

In addition, in the government-imposed tax amnesty program, the PPI is also the first SOE to participate in the program, with the listed assets of Rp 430 billion and taxes payable of Rp 8.6 billion.

Another step taken by PPI in the framework of financial restructuring is by restructuring debt to the government in the form of RDI debts of Rp 290 billion and former debt of IBRA amounting to Rp 652 billion. In principle, the shareholders have agreed, and the signing of the restructuring agreement is expected to be done on March 2017.

Another thing that has been done by PPI is Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) implementation. The process of Go LIVE ERP was implemented on June 26, 2016, marked by the submission of User Manual from PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk and now the system has been implemented in PPI head office and branch. The presence of this ERP system integrates all business operations PPI activities to improve productivity so as to improve competitiveness. This is reflected in the ERP modules used by PPI: Supply Chain Management, Finance & Accounting, Production Planning, Commercial Asset Management, Enterprise Asset Management, E-Procurement, Customer Relationship Management, and Risk Management.

At the end of November 2016 yesterday, VPN network infrastructure development for branches was built, so that all branches of PPI already have network infrastructure and enable to access ERP system so that it can integrate all departments and functions of a company into a computer system that can serve all needs of the company, either from the sales department, HRD, production or finance.

Another good thing that PPI does is improve the competence of PPI employees by conducting coaching, providing training or workshops that support the company's business by cooperating with the best consultants in Indonesia.

In terms of exports, the realization of which was boosted in 2016, PPI together with PT SIG ASIA specializing in the field of tuna processing has been exporting prime fish from Bitung waters territory, North Sulawesi, for export of tuna with Tuna loin type which is processed tuna product that has been worldwide and widely sought international markets. Tuna Pocket and Tuna Cube are processed products from tuna fish with cutting techniques resembling cubes. Processed tuna fish products depart from Bitung Port, North Sulawesi, with the aim of Los Angeles, USA.

The United States is one of the export destination countries of Indonesian fishery products in the form of processed tuna fish with bigger value of export products compared to Japan, EU and China. In terms of volume, the United States is smaller than China but remains larger than Japan and the European Union. Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries targets the investment value of marine and fishery sector in 2016 until 2019 will reach Rp 95 trillion.

Then from the agricultural commodity sector, the economic potential coming from the coffee sector is also a good opportunity for PPI that has been exporting coffee with Kintamani Arabica Coffee (Green Bean).

PPI in cooperation with PT Sarin Banua Bali (GEO-Coffee Bali's Authentic) as a direct supplier in the provision of Bali Kintamani Coffee which is trusted to export to Rotterdam, The Netherlands.

With this export, PPI runs one of the real forms of SOEs Present for the State, being a value added in export development in the field of plantations and fisheries, increasing the country's pedapatan in the field of exports, increasing the value creation company in the export commodity business development, and the most important is helped increase people's welfare.

Beginning in January 2017, the PPI also contributed to the fulfillment of raw material needs for the manufacture of agricultural tooling tools in order to meet domestic needs.

Not to mention the important commodity, PPI also distributed three tons of cayenne pepper per day to suppress the price spike and has been helping the distribution of cayenne pepper last month since the surge is affected by supply hampering and guaranteeing the unprofitable traders.

To reduce price, PPI helps to distribute cheap chili pepper. For example, to fill the needs of chilies in Samarinda and Balikpapan in East Kalimantan since the first week of January 2017, PPI has brought in hundreds of kilograms of chili from Gorontalo, Makassar and Surabaya. In addition, chilies from Makassar will also be delivered to Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan. PPI only take profit of Rp 1,000 per kilogram from chili farmers. While the average traders in Rawamangun Market get a margin of Rp 20 thousand per kilogram. In addition to distributing cayenne pepper, PPI channeled red curly peppers for Rp 40 thousand per kilogram.

Previously, the Ministry of Commerce has conducted stock equalization, identifying which areas are experiencing chili production surplus. Then, through the PPI, the chili was sent to a deprived area.

Currently PPI along with other SOEs are also developing export of carica fruit products, the only fruit grown in Dieng (Wonosobo), Argentina, and Russia. Under the coordination of the SOE Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises, there will be socialization activities related to the standardization of content and packaging quality and carica marketing to IKM Wonosobo.

ERP is a corporate information system designed to coordinate all the resources, information and activities required for a complete business process. ERP system is based on the database in general and the design of modular software. ERP is a software that integrates all departments and functions of a company into a single computer system that can serve all the needs of the company, whether from the sales department, HRD, production or finance.

Prior to the existence of ERP systems, PPIs using Accurate or accounting application systems that have not been able to connect to each other, not terintergritas and also infrastructure in the branch has not been adequate. This means that network infrastructure also does not exist. The previous PPI did not have a secure network, and therefore required a VPN or Virtual Private Network which is a network declared securely, useful for connecting branches and centers.

Go LIVE ERP process has been implemented on June 26, 2016 and then, marked by the submission of User Manual from PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk which in essence the system is ready to be implemented in the Office of the Pusar and Branch PPI.

ERP is a corporate project in which all employees should be able to use this system because later all the processes associated with the corporation will use the system. It is realized that the greatest difficulty of implementing ERP is "People", it requires a great willingness of all employees to adapt to the current system changes.

For 40 days, 32 key users from the branch came to the PPI headquarters in Jakarta in order to succeed the PPI ERP program in accordance with the direction of the Ministry of SOEs. In connection with the Letter of Assignment number: 091 / ST / DIR.SDK / PPI / XII / 2016 dated December 1, the assignment commenced from December 6, 2016 to January 13, 2017.

These key users are trained to implement ERP in their work, are given direct practice opportunities to get used to the ERP program, and try to input transactions through the Accurate program for financial reporting requirements which will then be used as the beginning accounting balance of ERP in 2017.

From here, it is expected that branch employees can implement ERP in their work and employees are accustomed to using ERP and transfer the knowledge gained from training to other employees, and 2016 financial reports can be completed on time.

The goal of Centralization (Job Description Global) is to closing and consolidate the 2016 financial statements for all branch offices and head office not manually, but using integrated accounting software. This comprehensive ERP training is conducted for all Person In Charge (PIC) Accounting Branch Offices and Head Office. Implementation of ERP operationally and integrated for all Branch Offices and Head Office by inputting real time transactions for one accounting cycle in December 2016 and final balance migration as of December 31, 2016 from Accurate system to beginning balance of ERP of Microsoft Dinamics AX. Data inputs are also conducted in ERP for the first week of January 2017 transactions to ensure that all branch and head office PICs are able to operationalize ERP for their respective branches and the Head Office can monitor all branches.

While in detail, the description of the task of 32 key users selected above are:
a. Attend ERP module training and implements in branch;
b. Input data of December 2016 transaction in Microsoft Dynamics AX, including: purchase requisition, goods receipt report, sales order, packing slip, packing list, invoice or sales invoice, and ledger / cash bank.
c. Maping master code for beginning balance;
d. Input data of December transaction in Accurate;
e. Preparation of beginning balance of ERP 2017 and finalization of data.

Of the 32 key users in the beginning, PPI will be easier in business process control, because ERP presents various data from different business units in a systematic, comprehensive, real-time, and easy access. In addition, the ERP system will also provide a broad perspective to a decision-maker so as to make accurate predictions and decision-making.

ERP also helps a company streamline PPI business processes. This will ensure the workflow can run smoothly and communication between departments for the better. The automation function in the ERP system ensures the flow of information is clearly conveyed and error-free, so business processes become more simple and responsive. Best-practiced organized in this system can provide better operational support and easier customization.

ERP will also channel to employees the accurate information needed directly to them, so that employees no longer need to waste time searching for their own information. They can focus on the main task so that the quality and productivity of work will increase. Increased ability in decision making and easiness to obtain the required data will improve employee creativity and improve work patterns.

PPI can also be more solid if the performance of all stakeholders can be harmonized with each other according to their individual needs in order to achieve the same goal. ERP systems can unite all units within the corporate ecosystem: business partners, support functions, vendors and customers. And good ability to harmonize the various units within the ecosystem can improve company performance.

And since the above mentioned things are expected and believed to be realized, the PPI would like to extend its gratitude to the 32 key users who have devoted their time, energy and mind to the success of a very important, irrevocable program, and will make the company grow and have the flexibility to adapt to future needs. Better integration, performance, and information flow will certainly improve the company's ability to plan and control so that it is better prepared for future challenges.

On January 6, 2017, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between PT Krakatau Steel (Persero) Tbk and PT Boma Bisma Indra (Persero) PT Indonesian Trading Company (Persero) and PT Sarinah (Persero) on meeting the needs of raw materials for the manufacture of Tools Agricultural Tools. The signing was witnessed by Minister of Industry, Airlangga Hartarto, at the Building Ministry of Industry, Jakarta.

Through this MoU, the production of agricultural tools such as hoes, shovels, rakes, egrek and dodos will be improved in terms of capacity and capability.

The Minister of Industry of Airlangga Hartarto asked the hoes import permit not to be used by the importers because the Small and Medium Industry (IKM) tools of agriculture are ready to meet domestic demand.

"Even if there is import permit, I ask not to be used, the national industry is ready to fulfill domestic needs," said Minister of Industry of Airlangga Hartarto.

Airlangga explains, later PT Krakatau Steel will produce raw materials medium carbon steel-shaped sheet. The raw materials will be processed further by PT Boma Bisma Indra to become semi-finished goods up to 75% maximum. The semi-finished goods will be distributed by PT Sarinah and PT Perusahaan Perdagangan Indonesia to all Small and Medium Industries (IKM) producing agricultural equipment. Airlangga hopes the cooperation scheme will be able to meet the needs of domestic hoes at 10 million units per year.

Airlangga explained, the need for agricultural tools will be produced by small and medium scale industries spread from Sabang to Merauke with the number of 12609 business units.

"There is a large number of centers located in West Java, East Java, Central Java, North Sumatera and South Sumatera Provinces, which can reach 14 million units per year," he said.

Based on data from the Ministry of Trade, in 2016 has been done the import of non-mechanical agricultural tooling tool, especially hoe of 86,000 units of the total import quota of 1.5 million units. Meanwhile, the national hoe needs to reach 10 million units per year. With domestic hoe production capacity of 14 million units per year, it is expected that domestic industry can fulfill national hoe needs.

Director General of Small and Medium Industries (GI), Gati Wibawaningsih, said that his office has conducted training for IKM of agricultural tooling tools in the country through facilitation of strengthening human resources such as technical guidance, mentoring and certification. In addition, providing machinery and equipment assistance, product quality improvement and market development, central strengthening, upgrading of UPT, and the growth of IKM's new entrepreneurs.

"The problem is how the support from producers to meet the raw materials, so far, raw materials are a problem," said Gati who also attended the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding of the fulfillment of raw materials for tooling.

According to Gati, currently there are about 12 thousand IKM throughout Indonesia who became producers of hoes and other tool tools.

With the fulfillment of raw materials through PT Krakatau Steel, and distribution by PT Sarinah and PT Trading Company Indonesia, the perpetrators of IKM can find raw materials from the company to be reprocessed and become tools of agricultural tools. Agus Andiyani, President Director of PT Trading Company Indonesia, also conveyed two important elements related to the price of hoes and events of IKM.

"The Minister has already said that if there is an import permit, do not use it first. The point is there are two, the first is how the price of the hoe is not expensive, and the second is the IKM of his life. Well if both have been met, perhaps no longer necessary to import the hoe. Lastly, my friends from KS (Krakatau Steel) have said that, so quickly KS produces the material, then the factory will live and the PPI is ready to market to all corners of the country, to 34 branches that are ready to become material center," said Agus.
