The Christmas celebration of PT Perusahaan Perdagangan Indonesia (Persero) was held on Saturday, December 14, 2019 at the Graha PPI Auditorium. This year's Christmas celebration has the theme "Live as Friends for All - Join and Hand in Love to Advance PT PPI". The event was attended by the Directors of PT PPI, Directors of PT Trisari Veem, Senior Managers and General Managers and invited 150 invited guests who were subsidiaries and tenants of PT PPI, and 50 children from the Griya Asih orphanage.

The program began with a worship procession led by a priest which was conducted with great wisdom. After performing the service, it was followed by a meeting of the chairperson of the committee and the President Director of PT PPI, Agus Andiyani.

Regarding the theme, Agus Andiyani urged us to always introspect ourselves to continue to be useful friends for others. He also explained the functions and duties of BUMN mandated by the government through the Minister of SOEs, Erick Thohir, are mandatory as BUMNs developed as Development Agents, must be able to provide benefits to the community, and as Value Creation Agents, continue to develop for the country and nation.

Agus Andiyani also expressed his salute and respect to PT PPI's predecessors such as Mr. Victor Sigiro, a former PPI director who attended the event, where in the past PT PPI's budget planning was very concerned about future business (current business), with PT PPI's extensive trade that can produce traded goods. To expand the company so that the company can grow better and be more beneficial to the community while maintaining a proportional, not greedy business, with a "commercial and measurable" tagline, all profits are not only for the company, but must return to Indonesian farmers and fishermen.

To be more sustainable in the future, PT PPI must be bigger to be more precise. In the scope of PPI, how beautiful the compilation of activities is intended for the benefit of the company, also for the community. Business activities that are profitable and need adequate support and portions, so they become more important. This is the teaching in all religions in Indonesia. Don't be afraid of change, God will help our paths together.

In this Christmas celebration, PT PPI sent a grant to the Griya Asih orphanage foundation from cash which could be used for the benefit of the children in the orphanage environment.

PT Perusahaan Perdagangan Indonesia (Persero) became a consolidator to accommodate MSME products that could be exported. This consolidator will spearhead the promotion as well as find a way for the export process.

In order to spur exports from micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), the government is encouraging the existence of Bonded Logistics Centers (PLB) specifically for electronic trading (commerce-el) abroad. So far, MSMEs have difficulty in exporting their goods. Aside from the promotion and marketing processes, the process of shipping goods is also often an obstacle for exporters.

The consolidators will help collect MSME products through PLB e-commerce in Indonesia. Furthermore, the electoral managing PLB company in Indonesia will look for PLB company partners in the destination country to facilitate the export process of Indonesian MSME products. Later the Directorate of Customs and Excise will assist the existence of PLB for Indonesia that can provide shipping routes to PLB in the destination country.

In the future, strategic management is needed to support the growth of trade ecosystems through the e-commerce system, including assistance and development of business management, digital branding and marketing, online export training, and e-commerce education facilitator programs to train "local heroes go global".

PT Perusahaan Perdagangan Indonesia (Persero) as a state-owned company and as an agent of change, is trying to answer the challenge to increase public awareness on consuming fish.

As concrete evidence of PT PPI's management of human resource development, PT PPI's millennial generation is encouraged to create business innovations, one of which is through a partnership program in the concept of a franchise, namely a fish culinary dish that we named Ikan Pop.

This product is presented in the form of a flour fried fish fillet, with the equivalent of fluffier white rice derived from the PT PPI brand too, namely Panganesia. "Healthy Dishes Every Time" is the Ikan Pop tagline, of course at an affordable price for people with the concept of a contemporary cart.
